Cartier 1900-1939

This catalogue was published following the exhibition "Cartier 1900-1939" that took place in New York in 1997.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the House, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the British Museum present the exhibition "Cartier 1900-1939" which traces the evolution of Cartier creation, from the beginnings of the Modern Style, to the eve of the Second World War. Judy Rudoe, Distinguished Curator of the British Museum, and Stewart Johnson, of the Met's Design Department, are doing important background work, which will lead to the development of a reference catalogue.
