The Great Fabergé: Art of the Jewellers of the Court Firm
L. K. Piterskaya, V. V. Muhin, Steaven Pobutsky
Catalogue of the first exhibition in USSR, the Elagin Palace-Museum, Leningrad.
This pictorial has been inspired by the first exhibition of Fabergé art in the Soviet Union since 1917. For the first time in modern art history, this book presents a vision of the original Russian Fabergé collections and the selection of works by Fabergé contemporaries in St. Petersburg introduced by Soviet art experts. This book illustrates the main trends in the historical development of the art of Fabergé over the course of a fifty-year period; from the 1870s until 1917, with representative works from almost all craftsmen of contemporary schools of jewelry art.
